Mikhail Tal Slays the Sicilian Dragon is Style!!

Featured in an excellent chess game between Mikhail Tal and Robert Forbis from the 1988 National Open held in Chicago, Illinois. At the halfway point of this 30-move encounter we observe a 2 knights vs 2 bishops imbalance with a case of opposite sides castling to follow. With Forbis not generating any threats towards Tal’s king, Tal had a free initiative on the kingside. The finishing combination by Tal is one for the books!

I’m a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. The purpose of this channel is to share my knowledge of chess to help others improve their game. I enjoy continuing to improve my understanding of this great game, albeit slowly.
