Featured is an excellent chess game between Bobby Fischer and Samuel Reshevsky from New York, 1961. In response to Reshevsky’s Accelerated Dragon, Fischer unleashes a kingside pawn storm. The position is immediately critical after Fischer’s 10th move g4. The general rule says to meet wing play with a central strike, Reshevsky’s approach in this game. In this case however the general rule should not have been followed, and Fischer’s sharp response demonstrates why that’s the case.
