Understanding dynamics is the key to playing better chess · Road to 2500, Game 108

Dynamic positions are what I struggle with, and this game was no exception. The structure was fluid and imbalanced and it changed several times, leaving me clueless as to what needed to be done and what I had to play for.
Dynamic, open positions are probably what I need to improve at the most, which is why I’m deliberately playing for exactly that by choosing wild openings I don’t understand. The Bird opening is one of the new, tactical additions to my repertoire.
