The King’s Indian Attack is not a system opening you can play against anything. It’s a system for white with pawns on d3 and e4, a kingside fianchetto, knights on d2 and f3. It can be employed against several defenses and it can start via many different move orders. It delays an immediate fight in the center, and allows Black to choose a setup they like, so it doesn’t force Black into your territory!
There are 6 openings you can employ it against without risking a bad position.
1. KIA vs French Defense
2. KIA vs Sicilian Defense
3. KIA vs Caro-Kann Defense
4. Reversed King’s Indian Defense
5. Reversed London System
6. KIA vs Bg4 setups
