Leela’s Nimzo-Indian crushes the Classical in 31 moves

Featured is an excellent attacking game between chess engines Zahak and Leela Chess Zero from 2021. Leela’s response to Zahak’s Classical variation of the Nimzo-Indian Defense is the Zurich variation. Zahak’s play is on the queenside, while Leela’s is on the kingside. Notice how many of Leela’s move compliment one another very well as the kingside attack mounts. And as for Leela’s queen rook…who needs it! More details on the engines: Zahak 8.0 64-bit (3101), and Lc0 0.23.2 wLD2 64-bit (3057).
