Rook Endgames for beginners · Road to 2500, Game 79

Principles of chess endgames are simple to learn but sometimes hard to apply. This game was a great example of the most important principle of all: activate your king in the endgame!

I was down a pawn in a 2v1 rook and pawn endgame and playing for a win! I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before, and it’s all because my king was so much better than my opponent’s king.
