The Breyer Variation of the Caro-Kann is a rare opening, but it’s still important to know it well so that we don’t end up in a position we don’t understand. It’s gonna be very different to what we’re used to in a regular Caro-Kann where white plays d4, so the plans and patterns are of key importance.
I have tried to explain the structures and ideas rather than endless lines of theory.
