I faced FM Cupic in round 3, and, I have to say, I have seldom been more impressed with my opponent’s technique, ideas, and determination. He played a beautiful game, weakening my position inch by inch, waiting for me to make mistakes, and he went on to outplay me from a totally equal position to win convincingly. This is what it takes to become a Fide Master!
