A gambit in the Caro-Kann I’ve never seen before ยท Training Game

I’ve been playing the Caro-Kann for years and I’ve never faced this gambit before. Gambits are never easy to play against, easpecially if you aren’t completely sure whether they work or not, if you should grab that pawn or develop, if your opponent will have too much initiative if you accept.

In this game I faced a gambit I’ve never seen before. I took the pawn, which was correct, and did allow a bit of initiative and development to my opponent, but managed to handle it and trade down into a favorable middlegame.
