In a tough match Ppraggnanandhaa manages to beat his compatriot Arjun Erigaisi and moves to Semifinals of 2023 FIDE World Cup where he will face American GM Fabiano Caruana.
This victory guaranteed Praggu a spot in the 2024 Candidates Tournament after Magnus Carlsen confirmed his withdrawal from the event.
