Magnus Carlsen had an incredible performance in Armageddon games with 7 points out of 8 in the 2023 Norway Chess.

Norway Chess has a different format than other chess tournaments. Winners receive three points instead of the usual one. If the game is drawn, the competitors play an armageddon game, the winner of which scores 1.5 points for the round and the loser one point.
