Defending in chess is hard. You are under pressure, and your mistakes are much more important than those your opponent could make, they are usually fatal. That means that defending is riskier and psychologically much harder than attacking, so good defenders are often also calm and very experienced.

In this game I was put under pressure and ended up defending a very loose position for an extra pawn. My opponent played it well and kept finding ways to attack. In the end I cracked.
