Wanna learn when, how, and why the Greek Gift sacrifice works? Here’s a perfect example of all the elements required.

The Greek gift sacrifice is one of the most thematic tactical attacking patterns in chess, and there are signs that point to it working. In this game all the signs were there, and, even though I couldn’t calculate all the way correctly I went for the Greek gift and it worked!

Now my conversion is another matter, and I managed to find the winning idea one move too late once it was gone and my opponent almost got away with it.
