When calculating variations, taking every possibility into account sounds impossible or very hard to do, but it’s essential. Of course, most options will be discarded immediately but the obvious patterns in the position need to be double-checked. You have to figure out what has changed on every ply and make sure the difference in the position doesn’t make your calculation flawed. I messed that up in this game. Correct my calculation!
