Where are the weaknesses? · Training Game

“Where are the weaknesses in the position?” is a question Aagaard keeps emphasizing in his GM Preparation series, as a part of a three step process for finding sound strategic and positional ideas. It would have saved me in this game.

I had no sense of danger and played a move I thought was positionally correct after which I should have resigned immediately. My opponent played a simple double attack, targeting two weaknesses in my position, and I had no moves, losing material. Trying to consciously ask yourself where the weaknesses are is the first step to playing well in the middlegame!
