Featured is a classic rating comparison over time between Magnus Carlsen and Ian Nepomniachtchi. Carlsen was born on November 30th, 1990, and Ian Nepomniachtchi was born on July 14th, 1990. This short 4.5 month age difference allowed for a nice visual of simple statistics between them. How Carlsen and Nepomniachtchi’s game matured over the past 21 years (July 2001 to July 2022) is on display via a bar chart race.
