In this video lesson, GM Igor Smirnov will share with you the most effective chess opening trap for blitz games. It is a trap from the deadly Danish Gambit (also known as the Nordic Gambit), which happens after the opening moves: 1.e4 e5 2.d4 exd4 3.c3.

White sacrifices one or two pawns for the sake of rapid development and the attack. Although objectively it is favourable for Black, but only if they are able to calculate variations precisely and to find the right defense.

That is why, this opening trap is ideal for you to use in blitz games, where most of your opponents will be unfamiliar and would not know what to do.
