A training game in the Panov Caro-Kann. A typical IQP position which became very sharp straight out of the opening.
This was a tough game. Playing and talking are very hard for me. I can’t seem to focus properly, which is exactly what makes it perfect training. But it also means that when I’m low on time I can’t make correct decisions quickly enough. That was the case in this game. It was an equal position in which I calculated correctly but (again) assessed the position I visualized incorrectly and didn’t go for the optimal continuation.
