This game was a very instructive lesson in positional chess.
A pawn break which would have changed the nature of the position completely, and then an exchange sacrifice that did, made this a game to study carefully from a positional perspective. Learn from it. I have.
Sacrificing for long-term compensation is something that only strong players do. Weaker players fear it, at least that’s my impression. At least I do.
