I feared I was going to do poorly against 9 very strong opponents. I was nervous, and I didn’t have enough confidence going into the first round. That is something that almost predetermines the result of a chess game. If you don’t think you can win, you can’t win. I really believe that.
This is probably one of the worst games I played. I played poorly in the opening and in the middlegame and just got blown over.
