In this video lesson, GM Igor Smirnov walks you through a very interesting variation in the Scotch Game, which happens after the first moves 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4.
The variation that he shows you is aggressive and is less known. Therefore, you can use it to surprise your opponent, especially in blitz games, where they have less time to find the best moves.
Additionally, all the moves by Black are pretty much forced, so there is no way for your opponent to get away from this opening trap.
