Chess In Prison! Blindfold Game Between Alekhine And Bogolyubov

The 19th DSB Congress (19. Kongreß des Deutschen Schachbundes), comprising several tournaments, began on 20 July 1914 in Mannheim.
Alexander Alekhine was leading the Meisterturnier, with nine wins, one draw and one loss, when World War I broke out.
After Germany declared war on Russia (August 1) the congress was stopped end eleven “Russian” players (Alekhine, Bogoljubov, Bogatyrchuk, Flamberg, Koppelman, Maljutin, Rabinovich, Romanovsky, Saburov, Selezniev, Weinstein) were interned in Rastatt prison, Germany.
In Rastatt Alekhine shared a cell with Efim Bogoljubov.
Lacking the luxury of a chess set they started to play blindfold chess, some of which were later published in the press. In this video I am covering one of them!
