1996 Deep Blue vs Garry Kasparov Game 3

The battle of man vs machine took place in 1996 when the IBM super computer, Deep Blue, took on the World Champion, Garry Kasparov.

In game 1 Deep Blue took the victory followed by Kasparov winning game 2. In game 3 Deep Blue went back to the opening that won game 1, the Alapin Variation in the Sicilian Defense
