In this video lesson, the RCA guest coach IM Asaf Givon continues his series on unpopular attacking chess games. Here he analyzes a game played between the former world championship contender Boris Gelfand and former world champion Vladimir Kramnik in the year 1996.

An interesting thing about this game is that Vladimir Kramnik is popularly known for his subtle positional style of play. However, in this game he brought about his attacking masterpiece – you can really see his urge to attack, be aggressive throughout this game. You don’t often see such games from Kramnik!
