Maxime Vachier-Lagrave jumped in as a last-minute replacement at the 2020 Candidates’ Chess Tournament and didn’t get to prepare as everyone else did, but he says he’s feeling good and today he defeated Ding Liren, a pre-tournament favorite who started 0-2!
