The last round of the tournament went as planned – an easy win in the Caro-Kann! I played the Classical variation after a very long time, I usually play the Karpov, and it proved to be a good decision.

My opponent is very aggressive and likes to play tactical positions, so I wanted to calm things down as much as possible. He tried to complicate matters but failed. His position was lost on move 18. Don’t mess with the Caro-Kann!
