Two training games on my quest to reach 2100 on lichess classical by October 1st! The first one was great. In the second… I got away with a lot.
The first one was an easy win against a lower rated opponent. I managed to win a pawn and open up his kingside. In general, he played too quickly and didn’t analyze at all I think.
The second game was way more interesting. He played the anti fried liver and I could have punished him very early on but I missed my chance. We traded off everything but the rooks and we got a very closed rook and pawn endgame. It was equal but I allowed him activity. The rest you can see in the video and analyze for yourself. I don’t think I’ve ever played a more instructive rook endgame in a training game.
