In 1982, in the Georgian capital Tbilisi, Mikhail Tal and David Bronstein met in an unusual exhibition match where they played eight games against each other simultaneously. Here is how Tal comments that encounter: “At first I felt uneasy about playing eight Bronsteins at once, but then I consoled myself with the thought that David would be fighting against eight Tals”. All the games were first rate games, and Tal won the simul 5:3 (+4 -2 +2). In this video I am covering one of those games were against Tal’s Ruy Lopez Bronstein chooses the hyper aggressive Schliemann defense, but soon falls victim to Tal’s attack! The final knight sacrifice decides the outcome of the game!
