Training against Stockfish

A training game versus level 7 Stockfish on lichess (2200 ELO rated).

I will be playing a tournament next week, so I’m trying to prepare as much as I can. As part of my preparation, I decided to play as many training gamed as possible against higher rated opponents.

Since there was no one much better to play against today, I have decided to face Stockfish in a 30 minute game.

For the next few days, until next Wednesday, when I’ll be traveling to Slovakia for the tournament, I will only be recording training games and my league game which I will play on Sunday. I need the practice at the moment, so please forgive me for not uploading according to my regular schedule!

As for the game, we entered a Franco Sicilian in which I went for the Maroczy Bind setup. The engine didn’t really attack too much and I managed to trade off some pieces and enter a drawing endgame. Not a very exciting game, but very instructive nonetheless. Especially the knight versus bishop ending in which Stockfish embarrassed me horribly.
