In this chess video I am analyzing a game played by 13-year-old chess prodigy Judit Polgar against Juan Mario Gomez Esteban. In this game Polgar organizes her attack in cost of a pawn sacrifice but Black’s defense turns out to be super solid. After seeing that her position is hopeless she tries her luck by going for a rook and bishop sacrifice but with a nice queen sacrifice black neutralizes all the threats and all White could to was to resign. As she correctly noted “Tricks do not work if the position is bad and the opponent remains alert until the end.” Although Judt Polgar lost this game but it is treasured in her book “How I Beat Fischer’s Record”!
