King’s Gambit Against The Most Solid Player! Unstoppable Attack vs Immovable Force

In this video I am covering a theatricalized game played between David Bronstein and Tigran Petrosian. As this game was played in a stadium for the audience Bronstein goes for King’s gambit and chooses one of the sharpest lines of that opening. By sacrificing his rook he manages to organize a very dangerous attack, but Petrosian’s defense turns out to be impenetrable and finally the game ends up in a draw! As Kasparov wrote: “In those years, it was easier to win the Soviet Championship than a game against ‘Iron Tigran’.”
