Kramnik Sicilian theory: https://youtu.be/04mHPHxmdkg

I faced a much weaker opponent in round 7. He was 400 points lower rated, which meant I basically had to win. He didn’t seem as weak as his rating signified, though. He managed to win and draw against several players of my strength in the previous rounds.

I tried to prepare as best I could, but there were no games of his online. Therefore I decided to just go over my entire repertoire with 1.e4, trying to make sure there isn’t a single variation he could surprise me with (which is what happened in my round 3 game, when I lost to a Sicilian I had no idea how to face).

We entered one of my favorite variations luckily. He played c5, and we played the Kramnik Sicilian. He played theoretical moves in the opening, which got me worried, but then he blundered a whole piece to a fairly simple tactic. I was a bishop up and managed to convert without too much trouble.
