I played as black in this game, and was continually surprised multiple times against the Bird Opening. Initially I thought I’d want to combat white’s powerful light-squared bishop by opposing it on the long diagonal, however this train of thought was adjusted after white’s 3rd move. Are you familiar with the 10 golden chess moves? The Rapid time control for this game is 15 minutes with a 10 second increment.
