Today I had a surprisingly easy win against a higher rated opponent. He played the accelerated dragon and I went for c4 (the Maróczy Bind) and he completely misplayed the position. There isn’t really to much to be said. He allowed Nb5, gave up the fianchettoed bishop and was lost on move 8. I managed to convert with only one mistake. I could have mated faster.

This game is instructive for accelerated dragon players who wish to learn which mistakes to avoid. My opponent, unfortunately for him, didn’t know the position and the opening was why he lost without a fight.
