Ding Liren and Caruana have managed to play a mega-exciting draw in round 2 of the 2018 Chess Candidates Tournament.

The game was a QGD which ended up transposing to a Catalan opening, and the players entered a highly volatile exchange sacrifice line for black which made the game extremely exciting. Both sides had winning chances but the game ended in a draw.

Caruana now stands grat with 1.5/2 and the white pieces in tomorrows game, while Ding Liren still has to gain his first full point of the tournament after drawing in the first two rounds.
