Today, GM Nadya Kosintseva wants to share with you her favorite chess tactics. The best way to train chess tactics, pattern recognition and imagination is to solve chess compositions, so Nadya is showing the most fantastic compositions she has ever seen.
Chess compositions are real works of art. Usually, composers extract combinations or tactical ideas from real games and perfect them so that every piece has its role and subtle moves are needed to create the final blow. But, to achieve perfection and beauty, there is a need of surprising and paradoxical moves. And these moves are not easy to find!
You can use compositions with two very different goals: to train chess tactics or to rejoice yourself with the maximum expression of the beauty of chess.
If you only want to be amazed, you can simply watch the video and find the solutions. But I warn you: if you try to find the solutions by yourself, even if you don’t find it, your enjoyment will be greater.
If you want to give it a try and improve in chess tactics, below I present you the 5 positions to solve. Don’t forget that they are not easy, but enjoy with the effort!
