Shut down your opponent’s attacks with strong defense!

In the video “The Art of Defense” by GM Roman Dzindzichashvili, he talks about an element of a good chess player that is not discussed very much: great defense.

Attacking the opponent is talked about frequently, but defense is under-appreciated. In this video, Roman shows us how to become a terrific defender and how this will help us to win more games.

The video starts with Roman explaining the importance of defense, whether you are an attacking player or not. He follows this up with explaining defensive techniques and showing us different games played in the past where a strong defense ended up winning. We can learn from these explanations and examples and become a strong defensive player ourselves.
