Horde chess with commentary #2 (Pieces)

I’m playing a fun chess variant called Horde chess on lichess.org. More specifically, I’m playing with the standard chess pieces (black), whereas my opponent is playing with 36 pawns (white). The time control is set at 5|2. The objective for white is to checkmate black, and the objective for black is to capture all of white’s pawns. A similar chess variant to Horde chess is Dunsany’s chess or Dunsany’s game. Would you rather play as the pawns or the standard chess pieces?
