The Anti-Dutch systems White has at his disposal can be tricky to meet unless a prepared antidote is in position. Andy summarizes the 2.Nc3 variation with 2…Nf6 and 3…d5 before jumping in to 2.Bg5, a feared Dutch weapon. 2…Nf6 is not recommended here as taking on f6 followed by c4 is good for White, so Andy promotes ‘timing an early…h6 instead’ in conjunction with 2…c6. Andy goes in to the detailed plans that Black has at his disposal, all centered around a quick…e5, and looks at some of Whites popular tries.
