Learn From Your Fellow Amateurs 1 – NM Dana Mackenzie, from the ChessLectures series.

The Game features the Tamarkin – Salinkovic Nasau, 2006

Dana analyses “The 2 Knights’ Defense” when Tamarkin plays 4.d4 exd4 5.e5 d5 (The Modern Variation – sometimes called “The Nimzo 2 Knights”). White’s 6.Bb5, intending Bxc6 and then a blockade on the dark squares. 6…Bd7 is then examined and Dana is keen to mention that 6…Bc5 is the main line. After 6…Bd7 7. Bxc6 and the giving up of The Bishop Pair is discussed. The video is targeted toward beginner and intermediate ability, and students will appreciate Dana’s efforts to highlight important technical details with his clear teaching style.
