This is a YouTube taster of A Secret Weapon for Black by IM Bill Paschall for ChessLecture. We see a game featuring the ‘Quiet Line’

The Scandinavian with 2…Nf6 is promoted by Bill and he demonstrates how even IM’s struggle against it when they play ‘Be2 and c4′ which as Bill points out ‘they do not go together’ and explains why. The Psychological reasons for why this line should be played are explored when Bill talks about the reasons why 2…Nf6 is difficult for good players to face and is also useful for players who play 1.e4 as this is important for their own research for facing it.
