Turn KID players into defenders with The Samisch!

Attacking the King’s Indian Defense with the Samisch — GM Dzindzichashvili

Roman introduces his guest GM Larry Christiansen who then shows us that the KID is a dangerous weapon for Black so the importance of controlling matters and giving White the option to attack is a good approach versus the KID and the Samisch variation is promoted.

Larry tells us about the rare sidelines for White then recommends the Samisch Main Line and progresses to outline the Key ideas for White such as ‘Battery Attacks’ with ‘Be3 & Qd2’ then ‘Long Castling’ followed by a vicious King Side attack. After explanation of the attacking themes Larry has a detailed look at The Panno Variation, which is known to be one of Black’s best setups versus The Samisch and shows a critical line 7N(g)e2 a6 8.Qd2 and how ‘White can acquire an advantage’ as well as tempting ideas to avoid.
