This is a game from the 1981 USSR Chess Championship, held in Frunz, Russia, between Vitaly Tseshkovsky and Garry Kasparov. This game acts as yet another example of the thematic d5 break in an opened Sicilian Defense, and at the same time demonstrates how a wing attack is often best met with a timely counterstrike in the center.
