Grandmaster Nick Pert is one of the strongest chess players the United Kingdom has produced. GM Pert is well-known for his strong positional understanding and excellent endgame technique. In the below chess video excerpt from the chess DVD ¨Killer Endgames¨ Grandmaster Pert explains various tricks for both the attacking and defending side in complicated endgames, specifically where one side has a queen and the other side is extremely close to promoting a passed pawn.
