I responded to 1. d4 with the King´s Indian Defense and my opponent chose the Fianchetto Variation so I decided to employ the Panno System with an early …a6 and …Rb8. Against 9. e4 I played 9. …b5 – but I think it was much better to develop with 9. …Bd7 first. White definitely achieved an advantage in the middle-game after 9. …b5 and also the imprecise 15. …Nb6 but I kept fighting with black and finally achieved sufficient counterplay and seized the initiative with 36. …f5 and 37. …Rc4. I emerged victorious in a ridiculous time-scramble, flagging my opponent with just .2 seconds on my clock. Blitz chess can get a little crazy sometimes!
