Emphasizing energetic development and active minor piece play in the opening and middlegame is certainly a good idea — however don´t forget about attacking with your pawns! There is a very fine balance in the early opening and early middlegame between using your pieces to develop quickly and aggressively attacking your opponent with your pawns early in the game.
