The Dzindzi Indian Defense is based on extremely interesting principles as black gives up the traditionally ¨prized¨ dark-squared bishop that has been fianchettoed on the kingside, in order to permanently weaken white’s pawn structure on the queenside and completely change the dynamic of the opening. White is forced to adapt to a very different type of play as black’s position looks shaky, but there is NO REFUTATION against this eclectic opening for black against 1. d4. The following chess video is an excerpt from Grandmaster Ron Henley’s comprehensive chess DVD series on the Dzindzi Indian Defense, instructing viewers on the basic positional concepts that comprise the foundation for success in this exceptionally dangerous chess opening for black.
