Bartosz Socko is a leading Polish Grandmaster with a FIDE rating over 2650. His notable achievements on the chess board include winning the Polish U-16 and U-18 Championships in 1994 and 1995, as well as winning the Polish Championship in 2008. Bartosz Socko has beat a number of the world’s best chess players, most impressively winning against Alexei Shirov in 2007 and Magnus Carlsen in 2008.  Bartosz Socko’s wife Monika is also a strong Grandmaster.  We would like to thank GM Bartosz Socko for taking the time to participate in our How to be a Grandmaster series and wish him the best of luck in his future chess career.
